Headshots for your company website during Covid-19

We are living in unprecedented times. As we get used to this new normal, we have to find creative ways to go about our lives and business. Updating headshots for your company website is important for your brand.  Whether you are an established company or just starting out, updating your employees’ headshots makes your website look fresh and up to date.

Unfortunately Covid-19 is surging, so how can you do it safely?

I recently updated some headshots for The Salvation Army of Western PA. I have been working with them for almost two years.  They are wonderful people who are always organized, helpful and mindful.  Especially when it comes to safety. I also love their uniforms!  I like to think of them as soldiers for good.  So when it came time to photograph new officers we had to be smart.  I had around 30 headshots to do.  I coordinated with Stephanie Rex, the director of marking and public relations, who made sure we had a big room to work in.  Everyone’s session times were staggered and people were required to wear a mask and social distance.  I made sure to keep myself 6 feet from whomever I was photographing.  Once each subject was in place, they were able to take off their mask.  Because wearing a mask is the most important thing you can do to protect yourself and those around you, the shoot was simple and safe.

If your employees are working from home, we can set up times they can come to my studio to have their headshots done.  I always make sure to follow the Pennsylvania Covid-19 business guidelines.  I disinfect before and after each session, wear a mask, and maintain proper distance at all times.  You don’t have to sacrifice safety to get a good photo!
