Stand-Up Headshot

He’s funny, quick with a joke, and has a very impressive beard – he is Pittsburgh Stand-Up Comedian Buddy Flip!  I have photographed tons of actors before, but Buddy was my first comedian headshot.  Buddy Flip is a nationally touring, headline comedian appearing at top clubs all over the USA.  He appears regularly in Las Vegas at The Riviera and in Atlantic City at The Borgata and The Tropicana.

Originally from New York, Buddy Flip managed the world-famous New York Comedy Club.  In addition to his weekly appearances there, he also taught the official workshop of The New York Comedy Club.  Buddy and his Workshop have been featured in The New York Times and The New York Observer.  He’s been on HBO, Comedy Central, MTV, and the Howard Stern Show.  He’s worked with such luminaries as Jerry Seinfeld, Joan Rivers, Bobcat Goldthwait, Artie Lange, and Kevin Nealon, to name a few.

Buddy stopped into my studio to get an updated stand-up headshot, as any smart comedian should.  Many stand-ups work on their craft in clubs and bars for years, hoping to get their big break.  So when all those years of hard work pay off, you’re going to want a great headshot on the marquis!  For established comedians like Buddy, it was merely an exercise in updating his existing stand-up headshot.  Yes, he looked good before, but he’s become quite the silver fox these days and wanted his comedian headshot to show it.
